does this make me a bad wife?

I've always told my dh (since we got engaged) that I have to have sexual attention. Not neccessarily sex, but affection and knowing my dh thinks I'm sexy. I've told him I'll always dress conservatively and be very loyal, but if I didn't get attention, I might look for it elsewhere.

I wouldn't cheat of course, but I might try to show more skin to get attention.

Does this make me horrible?

Not horrible, just annoying.

I wouldn't want to force myself to tell my SO he looked nice that day just to appease his insecurities.

It sounds like you have way too much insecurity or trust issues to seek attention elsewhere if he does not give you what you deem as an appropriate amount of attention.

No but I do question your insecurity.  Being married for 12 years and 3 kids later you realize there are more important things to worry about on a daily basis.

 I understand that.

It's more like at least every other day, I want him to notice the effort I went to so I would look sexy for him.

You seem like you have a low self esteem and need it constantly boosted or something. If your DH doesn't care, and accommodates, then all is well.

Horrible? No but I do not understand why you can not continue on to communicate with him
