she pulled her earring out!!!

My daughter (2) got her ear pierced two days ago. This morning when I got her out of her crib one of her earrings was gone. I found the earring but when I tried to put it back in it didn't slide in.

The salon doesn't open for four hours. Should I try to put it back in or wait to go back to the salon?

Anyone have experience with this?

NOTE: I'm looking for help, not a sermon. Thanks!

Its probably too late to do it yourself but you can try. Put it in from the back, it might be easier.

You should still be able to put it back it.

I agree with Bleu but can almost guarantee she will do it again.

I'd not force it.  Just wait until the salon opens.  If they have to they can repierce it.  If it were my ears I'd force it but a two year..you might infect the opening.

1 mom liked this
I would call the pediatrician tomorrow and have them fix it or just leave it out because she will probably rip it out again. Either way it's going to hurt a lot to put it back in. Probably shouldn't have gotten her ears pierced just yet.

This is what I was worried about.

Clean it, stick some ice there for a bit to numb it and stick the ear ring in. Then order some earrings with screw on backs so this doesn't happen again.

Ice it. I bet your fiddling with it has made it swell, then clean the earring and put some Vaseline or neosporn on the post to help it slide in. If it doesn't go don't force it. It will probably need to heal before repiercing.
