Sister says I'm weird for talking to ds

On several occasions my sister has overheard me talking to ds2. About nothing of importance, telling him I love him, how proud I am, plans for that day etc. I have been doing this since he was a newborn. She says I'm going to give him a mommy complex and he won't be able to do things on his own? She put on fb how awesome it is she doesn't have to share details with her kid and tagged me in it. I didn't respond but I find it weird it bothers her
The funny part is she tells her ds how much things she bought for him cost and how when he gets his first job he has to pay her back he just looks at her like huh?

She is a nut. You are doing exactly what you are supposed to do. If you didn't talk to him how would he learn to talk?

Yeah. You are giving him a mommy complex by being loving and supportive.

You are just ruining him. Poor kid has no chance!

Rofl. Obviously kidding...your sister is a dingbat.

Keep doing what you're doing. I've found the kids who's parents talked to them like you talk to your son pick up on words much quicker and have a bigger vocabulary than those that don't.

Why wouldn't you talk to your kid... She's the weird one I've talked to all my children since day one.

I should throw in all of my kids have amazing vocabularies for their age groups.

At least youre talking to your kid like he's a big kid.  Actually they should help his communication skills when he's older.
