My mom watches my sisters kids but every time I ask her if she can watch my kids she always says no? Then when I talk to my mom she brings up that she watched her kids for their date night. I almost want to say something to her but I know it won't do any good.

Nope. She favors my sister and her kids. I even ask a week in advance and she makes up a reason why she can't watch them. And if I ask her an hour before she gwts mad because I didn't give her enough time. Its really a lose lose. We never get time to spend together without kids because she won't watch them. Even for an hour.

There's gotta be more to the story!
Just ask her! Keep it friendly, heck even turn it into a joke (many a truth is said in jest!)!

Are your kids well behaved and respectful? If not that's very likely the reasoning.

Do your little snowflakes act up a lot? Are you a dramamonger?

There is more to this. I know it.

There's not. Thays just how my mom is. Her mom is the same way. It's irritating. I've asled her and she blows up and says she's going to be busy. And if I ask a couple of hours before I want to do something she blows up that I didn't give her enoughfof a notice.

My kids respect everyone. They listen to them, eat what's put in front of them.

Heck, if you can't rely on her, then get a baby sitter. Problem solved.
