If they are old enough to ask a question they are old enough to know the answer. :)

I have always tried to answer all my daughter's questions to the best of my ability with answers that I feel are age appropriate but honest.

This. Although my answers may vary based on age and the content of question. Like if my 9 year old asked me how to have an orgasm (that seems way far fetched so it's a good example), I may freak out a little, but I'd answer her as honestly as I could for her age.  I did show my 8 year old a birthing video because she wanted to know how babies came out. Yeah, I'm sure pregnancy won't be on her mind for a loooooooooooong time.

I plan to answer each and every one of my sons questions in an age appropriate manner.

Anything.

Some of the things I have been asked have made me pause and go "Eh? REALLY? Argh, not this one". But, as others have said, if they're old enough to ask they're old enough to know.

100% honest here. No need to lie our beat around the Bush. You poorly have to explain your answer later when they ask again. Honesty is the final way.
