Separate accounts

My husband and I have separate accounts and I cannot image sharing one. I like knowing my exact balance everyday. I cannot image going to use the card and realizing it was down 200 cause he paid something I did not know about.

i trust him on finances, but this seems to keeps things easier for us.

Dh and I have seperate accounts.  The money is all joint, but it's just easier this way.  We've had joint accounts in the past and due to lack of communication we would overdraw the account constantly.

We don't have separate accounts and this never happens to us. Maybe it's because we actually communicate to each other about what we spend and we always check our balance BEFORE shopping or paying a bill. It's really not a hard scenario to avoid.

We have both. We have a joint family account and each have our own accounts.

We have one account and in 12 years we have never had an issue.

XH and I had a joint. When he left he cleaned it out.

SO and I have seperate. I will never again put myself in the vulnerable position I was in. I also pay every single necessary bill in the house so I don't have to rely on a man to do it for me.

We do too!! Makes life much easier. We have joint accounts so we both have access to them, but we don't use the other persons.

I hate keeping a checkbook! It's so much easier just knowing in my head what I have. Lol
