Breast feeding benefits a bust!

Okay not all the benefits are a bust, but I breast fed my son, and he has had infections since 2 months old and is now 16 months. 6 ear infections in 14 months and they always said breast feeding your child would be less sick.

Ugh :(

My bust is that my baby weight didn't magically melt away. Dammit. lol.

mine was ff and is hardly ever sick. i think it depends on the kid and their immune system. who knows, not really sure how they measure those stats.

From what I understand, nursing can help build immunities, but if course people still get sick. The way I understand it, an example would be in your situation, your child still has health issues, but they issues might have been worse had you not nursed. Not sure if this is 100% right, but that's how I understand it.

Not all babies will keep from getting sick.

Maybe your child is prone to illness and would have been sick more often. Look at it that way :)

Every child is different.

Sorry your little man has been so sick. :(

Dd2, 2 years old, was breastfed and has never been sick. Even when we all had the flu, she didn't get it (and she has never had a flu shot).

My biggest disappointment was I could not loose weight while brast feeding for anything.
