Amoxicillian doesn't last very long in the body, that's why it's prescribed 3 times a day. Are you sure the dose isn't 1 teaspoon, 3 times a day? Call the pharmacist to be sure.
I'd call the pharmacy and doctor and double check it. Maybe they meant 1 tsp three times a day.
Amoxicillin is dosed to be taken several times a day because it often leads to stomach upsets in a more concentrated dose, therefore the doses are spread out throughout the day to alleviate stomach issues.
