I am a sahm. Df works full time. He provides for me and dd. Dd is not dfs bio child. Can he claim dd as a dependent on his taxes? I didn't have any income this year, so I can't file.

I think he can, as long as no one else can, kwim? Does DD live with you full time? Does anyone else pay expenses for her aside from your DF?

I'm pretty sure he can file head of household and claim everyone living there.

Just make sure her bio-father doesn't claim her.

As long as she is in the home and he is providing for her yes he can ,he can even claim you .

If he provided at for both of you he can claim both of you. I would double check after the yearly update on the rules change in January. Before my hubby and I got married he was able to claim me and my oldest son since he provided more then half of our living expenses ( he provided all of it). I do hope this helps you out some.

He can't claim her. He has never paid cs. His mom paid it three times this year.

Well one year my dad got audited because my mother claimed us and he didn't know about it and claimed us as well (they were divorced, we lived with him, didn't see her and she wasn't paying CS) since she filed first they allowed her claim us and he had to redo his taxes with penalties. This was probably 20 years ago, so things could have changed; but it seems to have been a "first come first serve" kind of mentality in the past.
