for the holidays.

It has caused a WW3 mentality even though we offer to allow them to visit us. Nobody wants to spend the holidays in a hotel and we do not have room in our house.

It's annoying. I'm tired of hearing people trying to convince us to travel half way across the country so they can see our kids. I understand wanting family together for the holidays, I do and hope one day we are able to have that with our kids.... but we are the only people with kids and everybody expects us to be the ones to travel. It costs more, it takes more time and energy and frankly, we want the traditions in our own home not based on someone elses wants or demands.

We don't want to spend Christmas in a hotel either.

And?

No point. Just a mini vent after checking my e-mail and for the sixth time this year my FIL has sent an e-mail asking us to go home this year.
