providence

This piece features the image from a Providence prayer card and is the center piece of my gratitude altar
I should have been more clear that I did not paint the images themselves. I modified and embellished them and then built the frames around them.

Thank you for the compliments ladies! It means a lot to me. I don't share my work outside my spiritual community very often and never have here.

Bumping this for the couple ladies who were interested in some of my artwork several months ago. This is not the only art I make but these are two of my favorite devotional pieces. I prayed over these as I made them and imbedded the 23rd psalm inside each as an extra blessing for whoever I sent them to. The first piece is mine. The second one was a gift for someone.

Thank you! She is one of my favorites too! The original prayer card is very small but I made a few high quality photocopies and played with sizing. The image of mother and child is about 6 inches tall. The background circle is a painted and heavily mod podge -ed vintage paper doily, reinforced on the back so it is sturdy. I added the sparkly stones and mounted the piece on a painted ornate silver shelf, attached the word 'Gratitude' above it and mounted a candle holder made of zills ( finger cymbals) on each side of the shelf. I burn tea light candles on them while I pray and thank Spirit for all my blessings:)
