My daughter has a friend spending the night tomorrow. She's allergic to milk, eggs, wheat, and soy. What can I feed her?
Ack. My daughter just told me not to worry about it so much, because her friend has an epipen. My mom asked me to please bring the little girl to go get wings with the family tomorrow, because we have family in from out of town. No way. I'm not risking eating out with a little girl that has that many allergies. My SIL is allergic to wheat, so I mentioned it to my sister over Facetime, but she didn't really five me any advice. Just listed off a lot of stuff the little girl cannot eat.
Thanks for so much help!
I'm thinking that for their junky snacking, I can give them popcorn, chicken bites, and corn tortilla chips. I looked online to make sure misson tortilla chips were free of all those allergens, and I'll have to look at the ingredients to make sure the popcorn doesn't have any flavorings. I can always add oil (not butter), and apparently I can get nutritional yeast to sprinkle on it, too. I found a recipe for chicken bites from kidswithfoodallergies.com. Her mom didn't seem too worried, and said her daughter knows what she can eat, and will make do with fruits and vegetables if that's all we have.
