What to do with infant carrier after I've used it?

Silly question...My DS only used the infant carrier for about 4 months (he grew out of it).  We are not planning on having any more kiddos and I know that it is not recommended to re-sell them.  What did you do with yours when you were finished?  We are going to Once Upon a Child this weekend, I was thinking I would take it there or try a mom-to-mom sale.  It has not been in an accident or recalled.  Is it frowned upon to re-sell them?  What would you do?

What kind of carrier is it?

Assuming there are no rips or tears or anything that would make it unsafe, why not sell it?

I'd call first to see if they take them.  I've seen car seats on Craigslist.

I'd donate it to a family shelter unless you really needed the money.

Resale shops probably won't give you much for it.

You can find a local woman's program and give the seat to them. Our local Y takes them.

I would never buy a used cad seat but plenty of people do it. My local guard sale sites are full of them.

I sold mine to another mom. They had only been used a few months, were clean, no accidents, no re-calls. I then put the money toward buying clothes for him in the next size up. He grows so fast I want to be prepared.
