Um... back off MIL

So we announced the pregnancy of my second baby to my MIL. Her response to my hubby was "after this one make sure she gets her tubes tied"... I wanted to go off on her so bad. If I want ten kids I will have as many as I want! I am 21 and telling my hubby to make me get my tubes tied is just wrong! I am still young and we plan to have up to four. He defended me, but I still wanted to knock her out. I don't know if it is just my hormones or is that just plain rude??

Yes it's rude. I would have told her to mind her fucking business.

She was mean. I think next time you see her tell her  that her remark was offensive. That you and her son will decide on how many children you bring into the world not her. Don't say it all bitchy just say.

Rude....

My MIL's reply to our first?  "Well, that's just what you need."

The second one...our DD (age 3 at the time) told MIL she was going to be a big sister.   MIL just shook her head.

No that's rude. I can see my mil saying something like that when we finally announce our third baby. I'm going to be fifteen weeks this Thursday and we still haven't announced it.

It it is plain rude. But ppl dont care they ask those questions or make those comments constantly without even thinking about whether or not its their business.

It pissed me off too. I had 1 boy and 1 girl and everyone saod "oh good. You dont have to have any more kids"
Like my goal in life was to collect one of each or or something.

theres nothing you can do. Just ignore it.

My MIL has never liked me. She was not happy with my first either. I am always nice to her and respectful. She does not like that I took her baby away from her.... well I say congrats to all you ladies with your babies. Who needs a MIL approval if she is not happy about being a grandma to your precious children. Each baby is a blessing!:)

I'd say pretty much the same thing if my daughter (no sons here) was having her second kid at 21.
