It means something could trigger someone whose experienced what the post is about. Rape & abuse are big ones.

means there's some deep shit in the post that some may not want to deal with

child death, miscarriage, rape, etc.

It could trigger emotions to a past experience, I believe. Like dragging up the past for them.

No. For people with mental disorders. We have certain "triggers" which can induce panic/anxiety attacks, manic or depressive states, etc.

And of course, people who have experience what is in the post and it brings back horrible memories.
