Lack of financial stability is an excellent reason to have an abortion **EDIT **
Edit: it's really quite amusing how people take the, literally, two sentences that I posted in the OP and make all sorts or ridiculous bleeding heart generalizations.
#1. I never once said or implied that poor people shouldn't have children, of that children were only for the wealthy. I simply said that, if one were contemplating abortion, that lack of financial stability is a good reason for one. Children are expensive and often further plunge a family into debt. That said, if you struggle financially and DON'T WANT an abortion, then by all means DON'T HAVE ONE. No judgement from me. I just don't understand the idea of wanting to bring a child into that sort of struggle.
2. I'm not rich. Not even close. I wholeheartedly support social safety net programs like SNAP, WIC, TANF, and HUD. In fact, in pretty socialist, so I'd love to see universal health care, expanded and improved government housing options, improved work and labor programs, etc. Again, my point, is that if you're struggling to get on your feet or stay afloat, why complicate the issue with a child?
3. Obviously, a primary form of reliable birth control is preferable. I think most people would agree on that. My opinion is that I think abortion is an acceptable last resort measure if birth control fails.
4. Yes, adoption could be an option for some. Maybe not for others. Contrary to popular pro-life belief, adoption is not always an option.
5. I'm anonymous for my own reasons. Bash me for going anon, I don't care. Ironically, most of the trash and insults many if you have flung at me would have never occurred had I used my screen name, while I have been quite civil and open to conversation. Sad that some if you feel the need to name call, trash talk my kids, and worse. Now who's pathetic?
Anyway....go head and continue to get your collective panties all twisted.
