Would u ever send your child to boarding school? Why or why not?

and don't say because u will miss them..

I would... If I believe it would benefit him better than going to schools locally... And that he wanted to go.

 It depends on what they wanted and what kind of opportunities it would give them.

I would miss them terribly though.

Nope, never only parents who don't want to be parents send their children to boarding school. Plus I actually enjoy my kids.

 No. Honestly my reason is that I wouldn't want to make my child live away from home, at a school. I like my child coming home everyday after school, showing me what she did, and allowing me to be involved in her school work.

Locally we have the NC School of Science and Math, and it is a boarding type school. I applied when I was in 10th grade but wasn't accepted. I really wanted to go!  If my dd wanted to go there, sure I would let her. It's is an incredible school. It is free, I believe, so not a traditional boarding school.

 my first boyfriend was sent to a military boarding school the weekend after my mother found out what 'present' he gave me for my 16th birthday. I didn't think anything was wrong with it, at the time.

No. Kids need to be raised by parents, not by teachers.

And I would miss them!
