Try not to rush Christmas

Has everyone forgotten about Thanksgiving??? This obviously doesn't apply to anyone not living in the US....but c'mon people. We haven't even had Thanksgiving yet and people are already decorated for Christmas? I decorate for Thanksgiving, so those decorations have to come down first.

**EDIT/UPDATE**: I changed the name of the post from "STOP rushing Christmas!!!!!" to "Try not to rush Christmas" because apparently some ppl perceived the original as a rant. It is not disrupting my life for people to decorate for Christmas. This post was simply an opinion, not a rant & not meant to cause all the negative posts that have come from it. I'm not one of those crazy bitches on here that wants to fight with everyone. I enjoy CafeMom for the interesting reading and the connection with women of every race, religion or sexual preference. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and if you don't celebrate it, then Happy November 28th.

I feel anybody can decorate as they please , we always decorate the weekend before because it adds to the decor when family comes over.

I don't understand why this bothers people so much. Why does it matter what people choose to do in their own homes? No one is forcing you to decorate.

This is coming from a person who has 6 trees and decorates after Thanksgiving.

I agree. It's seems people have completely forgotten about Thanksgiving.

To each his own, but I feel that Thanksgiving is a "forgotten" holiday.

How can someone "rush" Christmas. Doesn't the calender dictate when it happens?

I always find this the most absurd thing people worry about.
