Should I bring my DD to daycare today so I can get ready for Thanksgiving? It will be easier without her. How many of you do this?

I appreciate my daycare person enough to give her a break and let her get her home ready without kids around.

How is she going to learn if she doesn't grow up watching you get it ready? Holiday prep is one of my strongest childhood memories.

Daycares are closed here. But no I let my girls help me make the desserts and other small things like helping put out the dishes etc..When the potatoes are done they will help put the ingredients into the mixer and help me then too. They love helping out. They are 4 and 6.

Why would the thought ever cross your mind? YOU chose to have a child. It is your CHILD not an accessory. Part of having children is being inconvenienced and multitasking. This is a holiday and holidays are spent with family not babysitters or daycares! This type of parenting style is sadly becoming the new trend and not only does it make me sick it breaks my heart for the children of the parents that can't be bothered to spend time with their children.
