I haven't gotten him anything yet, really. But in my Amazon cart of rmy 9 year old is a rock tumbler, an RC helicopter with a camera, and a couple of books (and stocking stuffers, but I'm not doing anything major for those- some styluses, a tea infuser (weird, but he loves tea!), some candy, maybe something else small). I think we are going to get him either a nice keyboard or a 3DS as his big present, and a few other smaller things.

We don't over indulge at Christmas as he gets what he wants all year (he's 2, so you know how that goes).  As a result he is getting:

A play kitchen--should be delivered Tuesday

Vtech-GoGoWheels train station and 2 extra vehicles

Matchbox floating race track for the tub

and his Daddy decided he needed a guinea pig.

I'm not done shopping yet. Congrats to you OP for being able to do this on your own. I've been where you are, and it's a great accomplishment when you can do it on your own.

If he likes tea see if you can find him a flowering tea pot--the "tea" is actually a plant that "grows" when you steep it--It's hard to explain, but really cool.  May make a good gift if you're not done :)

aw fuck... I need to get to the bank and deposit the three checks and wad of cash I've been hoarding... Then I can finish buying... Right now though I guess I could be working on DD's doll blankets and clothes.
