This exactly.  I could see people who don't drink, religious reasons or whatever, wanting a dry wedding.  Cash bar screams cheap ass.

Cash bar, hands down.

Dry wedding says I don't care to have alcohol at my wedding. Cash bar says I don't mind having alcohol, I just don't want to pay for my guests refreshments (which is tacky). IMO all food and drink options offered should be free.

I don't think either one is tacky. We didn't have alocohol at our wedding, because I don't like being around drunk people. If it's my day, it's my day, and I didn't want drinking to ruin that.

Cash bar.

A dry wedding is like going to a wedding that's serving say basic fair all around. A cash bar wedding is like going to a wedding where the chicken plate is free but they make you pay to have the beef plate.

Neither is tacky. But I would personally rather go to a wedding with a cash bar than a dry one.

Ugh...idk, I probably wouldn't go to either unless it was someone I'm very close to. But I don't think anyone I'm close with would do either of those so...guess I'm good!
