I breastfed my now 7 year old until he was 3, and I'm still breastfeeding my 2 year old twins. It isn't for everyone, but it is what my kids and I are comfortable with. I will let them self wean, just like I did my 7 year old and 3 year old.

So they can grow big and strong. And you can burn 500 calories and so you can be a better mom than everyone else.

Just like you would breastfeed an infant. I haven't done it (yet) but my ten month old is still nursing strong and doesn't seem to be slowing down at all even though she eats tons of table foods. I will wean her when she is ready, so it may be at 18 months, 2 years, 3 years, I don't know. The people that I know who still breastfeed their toddlers usually don't nurse in public, it's mostly at home or before sleeping times only.
