Why take something like the holidays and turn it into something ugly and vindictive? Your son will remember this and I hope it bites you in the ass someday. Shame on you for putting your child in the middle of your bitterness.

You are only punishing the child.... Why can't you put YOUR feelings aside?

I don't get it. My sons father cheated on me with his now wife, my sons step mother. I have plenty of reason to hate both of them. But I don't. I'm grateful my son has not only myself, my dh and our families, but also his dads family, and even his step mom and her family. If they want to spoil the shit out my son on Christmas, so be it. I love the fact that my son has so many people that love him, and that his step mom doesn't hate and resent my son, but rather loves and adores him as one of her own. I would never ever take something away from him that she gave, or that she wanted him to have.

You really need to consider the fact that your kid has a step mom who doesn't hate or resent him, you have a person in your kids life that chooses to love him and include him. Don't punish him because someone loves him enough to think of him. What's that teaching your kid?
