It kind of sounds like you didn't get the love, attention or affectionate hugs, kisses and well wishes from people during your pregnancy. How can you turn this situation around and not make it about "unspoken" expectations or unfulfilled expectations? Let go of what you perceived went wrong so that you can heal...be a good friend...and be grateful for what you HAVE instead of what you think you LOST...

I have a few good reasons for hating it when my friends get pregnant. One is, during both my pregnancies, I was treated like absolute CRAP compared to other women I knew who were pregnant at the same time, because of my circumstances. Both times, the other pregnant women I knew were fawned over and loved on and given SO much appreciation and positive attention, while I was not.
The other reason is, now that I'm at a point in my life where I want to get married and have (more) children, it makes me insanely jealous when other women I know get pregnant.

I struggled for years with infertility so during that time it was painful whenever friends or family got pregnant. Now that I have my own children and have decided we are done, I can actually be honestly happy for others. I love babies and I get to hold and love on them without having to raise them myself :)

I only dread it if they are big Ho on circumcising their child of its a boy. The whole pregnancy I pray for a girl.

I cannot understand not being happy for a friend who finds out she is expecting. I miscarried in May 2012, and was devastated Everytime I saw someone post on Facebook that they were pregnant, until I got pregnant 4 months later. I just wanted a baby so bad, and was so scared of not being able to have one. I now have a 6 month old little girl ;). I have a friend who is due in Jan., and I couldn't be happier for her; She is pregnant with #3.
