I'm just so hurt, my husband wants to get a paternity test on our baby

When she's born because he doesn't think its his. I've never cheated, never even given him a reason to think I've cheated but his family has him convinced that she can't be his because he's 36 and was promiscuous as a teen and young adult and never got anyone pregnant. He, along with them, are convinced he can't father a child.

I'm so hurt, it feels like they are accusing me of cheating and I'm not sure our marriage can handle this. We miscarried last year and he seemed so heartbroken and now I wonder if he thinks that baby was his.

I will give him what he wants but I just don't think I can stay married to a man who thinks I cheated on him.

I'm sorry.  Tell him you'll get the test but he needs to go to therapy to work on his issues.

No advice. I would be really bothered by that as well.

Yeah, at 36 his family should not have so much influence over him.  How old are you, and how long have you been married?

I'm 33 and we've been married 3 years now. I didn't think they had this much influence over him, he rarely speaks to his brother and speaks to his mother even less than that.

I'd give him the paternity test inside his packed suitcase.

I wouldn't stay married to a man who accused me of cheating.  What good is a marriage with no trust?

I would do the test because it will be required eventually.
