My 1st chemo treatment, lol!

I feel fine, getting a lot of phone calls. I probably won't have any effects after several more treatments or at least a couple of weeks.

I was so nervous yesterday, watching--what I know is actually toxic to my body--pump into me, but I am also grateful that I have the means and opportunity to fight and the chance to survive.

It was quite festive, too, where I will receive my treatments. The staff is wonderful, and I was supremely thankful that they were working on Christmas, in essence, to save my life and the lives of the other patients.

I suppose that is better than no chemo treatment at all.

Seriously, I hope you have a speedy recovery.

you will notice the effects more the 2nd time, by the 4th time you will know exactly what to expect and how to deal with it. I usually had about 25 minutes to get home before my head started to feel woozy.

Good Luck to you.

We should all be grateful for the health we have and screw "shitty" gifts.  You seem very brave and have a good attitude.  I hope it all goes well for you and that your health improves.  Merry Christmas, Mamma - you deserve it!

Thank you! I have a terrific support system, so it makes it very easy to stay positive. I don't want to waste a second with negativity. Doesn't make sense to do that! :)

How come they scheduled it for Christmas?

I kind of know how you feel, its a bitter sweet thing. My son finished a year of chemo in July.

Hope things go well for you!
