going to lose my job over son being sick :(

This has all started December 13th. My son is 5 years old and was diagnosed with Bacterial Pneumonia. We have been battling this pneumonia for what seems like forever now. He has been on very strong antibitoics and has been taking breathing treatments three times a day. I have been out of work since December 16th because he couldn't go to school the entire week, due to high fever, as high as 105 and vomitting constantly.

His fever went away for a couple of days and he seemed to be doing better, and then he started vomitting again and started with the high fever. I'm due back to wrok Monday but I likely won't be able to go because we spent the night in the er last night and my son still has a spot on his lungs from the pnuemonia and a fever of 104.3 I told my boss and she said likely I will have to resign because I have missed so much work already.

My sons health comes first of course and there is nobody in the state we live in who can help me out with my son, we have no childcare.

How would you feel if you were in my situation? I'm stressed

I would apply for FMLA, short term, or some other type of leave of absence

Don't resign! Make them fire you so you may be eligible to collect unemployment.

She can't because she hasn't bee there a year. FMLA only applies to full time workers who have worked for the employed for 1 full year
