Why is it destroyed??

I moved from my "home" town nearly 10 years ago, my best friend and I are still friends and speak or text every single day. We also take vacations together every other year or so.

As for making friends, start a club or join one, work part time, something.

In that case she was never really your friend and certainly not your best friend.  A true friend would never treat you like that.

This.

A real friend is there for you, won't hurt you, and definitely would not shut you out.

What I would suggest is, meet other moms in your area, have playdates.. make friends, it's not hard! Just have to get over that shyness.

If that's true then she isn't someone you should be crying over.

My best friend lives hours away from me but we chose to stay in contact through facebook, emails, telephone, and visits as often as we can.
