Is there any aspect that you can complement?  Like the craftmanship?  Choice of materials? It all goes well togther?  Or is it honestly just horrible and NO ONE would like it?

Tell her the truth.  My friends always ask my opinion cause I always tell them what I really thinking and they want to know what will others think...

I would be gentle in my criticism. Tastes vary so I wouldn't be too harsh.

You could say "not my style, but I'm happy for you"

Lie.  Tell her it looks nice.  If she really presses you, say something along the lines of it isn't your style.

You can nicely tell her you don't like it but if she does great.  Maybe pick something you like and tell her that.  You should be honest, but not rude.

Well everyone likes different things. You don't have to like it since it is not your kitchen. However, I think that I would try to find a few nice things to say about it.
