Or daycares that dont cost 1000$?

I suppose it all depends on how many days a week and where you live.

I know here in San Diego there are plenty that are income based.  I paid $100 a week, for my youngest when he was in PreSchool.  After I lost my job and was out of work for 6 months, I was able to get free before and after school care until I was back on my feet and then I was still able to get reduced pricing based on my income.  Try looking into CDC (Child Development Center), there may be others or called something else, depending on where you actually live in CA.

There are pre k at many local public schools that are free. Contact your school district abs they can provide info.
