I am saddend for him as his family.

Read about it. Very sad. Skiing can be dangerous. He wouldn't be the first person to die or be critically injured doing so, unfortunately.

A quick google search will cure that. ;)

He is one of the most well know athletes in the world. He was the most successful Formula one race driver wining 7 world championships during his career. He just retired last year and on Sunday he was skiing in the French Alps with his 14yo son and he fell and hit the right side of his head on a rock.
Even though he was wearing a helmet he is in critical condition with a sever brain injury.
Doctors are unsure if he will live or die.

Formula One racing is the second largest sport in the world Next to Soccer (futbal)

I know there are some mums here from other countries besides the US. That's why I posted this.

I know. Sony Bono comes to mind.
Schumi was wearing a helmet though. He must have hit hard. :(

Natasha Richardson as well. She actually declined medical assistance because she didn't think she was seriously injured.
