Vegan wedding dinner? Rude?

My husband's sister sent out her wedding invitations. It's a formal reception, but the food is going to be vegan. Our kids are coming and I'm kind of worried they won't eat anything. My husband thinks she's being ridiculous by forcing her guests to not eating any meat/eggs/dairy.

What do you think? Rude or not rude?

Extremely rude.  If she chooses to eat that way fine.  I honestly would go to the wedding but not attend the recetion.

No I do not think it is rude. It is their wedding and it is only one night.

It's their wedding and they are paying for it. So I guess I wouldn't complain.

I think you should be grateful for any food provided. Perhaps your children should practice eating fruits and vegetables before the big day, so they will not be shocked.

Not rude. Vegan s are about not hurting animals. Why make an exception for THEIR wedding.

If that's the lifestyle the couple lives then honor them & respect it. I honestly get offended when I go to a wedding or party & there's no vegetarian options.

I don't think it's rude. It's one meal. ONE. I think you'll survive. It's free food and who knows, your kids may love it.

Feed your kids beforehand if you think they won't eat.  It's their wedding, they can serve whatever they would like.
