Will I REALLY get a 5,000 dollar fine if I don't sign up?

I don't want to!

Not this year.

I have health insurance, but still have to pay the tax because its not Obama approved. I don't have things like maternity.

So I am doing the right thing and still getting fucked over.

I think you still have to pay the tax this year, but it is not $5000. I think its $95 per person this year.

You mean one size fits all doesn't really fit all?! I guess those with no more baby making parts still have a chance to get pregnant. Totally makes sense.

Yup, men too! Gotta love the common sense floating around our government.

This year it's $95 or 1% of your income, whichever is higher. So technically, it could be $5000 if you make enough money.

The penalty does start this year. You have until March 1st to acquire insurance to avoid it.
