My ex-dh and i split when dd was 1.  i didn't go after him for c.s. until she was about 7 years old. i gave him that long to man up and take care of his responsibility on his own.

No. I honestly would not need to. My husband has always been there for our kids. Even when we did separate for a few months he transferred money weekly for our son. We are lucky to have since reconciled and are now pregnant with our third child :)

No, I would try to work with him in making sure that we could provide for the kids.

I don't have a "baby daddy" I have a husband and an ex-husband.

and yes I went for CS when I left their father.

If my husband and I divorced, I wouldn't have to take him to court for child support. He would willingly support his children. That's just the kind of guy he is. I would go to court and file anyway. He would insist.

I learned my lesson with my ex husband. I made sure to procreate with a man who fully understands the responsibilities that are attached to children. Hopefully it isn't something that I will ever need to do.

If you're married and he leaves he is legally responsible for child support. I have no idea what happens with a "baby daddy" (I hate that term )
But go ahead and try. He should help out . He helped make them.
