how much do you spend on groceries each month?

Posted by   + Show Post

I'm talking everything you buy in a grocery store, to include diapers, formula, health and beauty items, paper products, etc.  How much do you pay per month (including any PA). I cannot believe people can get away with only 300 a month for a family! I coupon and there is no way I could get it that low. Am I alone?

Edit: I guess I should add : How often do you eat out? That may have a lot to do with the grocery bill. We rarely eat out, so I buy lots of groceries

Family of 3 and no pets (until tomorrow we are getting a dog) we spend about $600-650 a month which includes diapers for DS who is 18 months and other household items we may need. No PA and we buy things like toilet paper, soap, body wash, etc. in bulk. We eat out probably twice a month if that.

$400 a month a food. i dont buy diapers and health and beauty items at the grocery store.  and i dont really keep track I take out an extra $100 each pay check to cover things like that but some of that money also goes for gas and what not. like today i only had to get cascade. next time i may have to buy a ton of stuff. who knows. we rarely eat out. we have 6 people 5 that eat big people food lol. 1 baby. i'm sure whne he starts to eat more i'm gonna have to find more money and up it a little bit.

I spend about $1200 a month, but now that I have a well stocked, fully converted to organic, pantry, I am hoping to get it down to about $800 a month.
