I quit my job because of the snow!

I had the day off today so I was really excited because a snow storm moved through. i was relaxing this morning just enjoying the snow when my boss called and told me I had to come in. I told her sorry but it was my day off, i did not feel comfortable driving in the snow, and it wasnt going to happen.

She called me back 5 minutes later telling me that if i didnt come in she was going to take my promotion away. I told her go ahead because I was done working there. I hung up and turned off my phone and I have been just relaxing

I didnt really want the promotion anyway because I knew I wouldnt be working for much longer so at least she can give it to someone else. The BS and her threats just arent worth being around anymore

I don't blame you. There's no way in hell I would have drove anywhere today the road were really slick. A job is not worth your life. Besides being as it was your day off you did now have to come in. Would she have fired you if you weren't there or just didn't answer the phone?
And I hate when ppl think they can threaten your job.
When I did work I would screen my calls on my day off. Sorry I make plans I have other things to do. I'm not going to jump jus cuz someone else tells me to.

Hope it wasn't a job where you screwed someone else into forced overtime.

I'm in the opposite boat. I was excited that I got extra hours this week, my boss called and told me not to come in today, and probably not tomorrow either. :(
