I work in HR and some things really stand out to me when I see them, but not in a good way. In my opinion you must not really want a job at my company if you have or do any of the following:

Have a tattooed neck/face.
Have facial piercings you didn't try to conceal or at least wear clear inserts.
Show up without a resume.
Wear jeans/tank tops/fishnet stockings with thigh high boots to the interview.
Refer to your former boss as "that dickwad" or "fucktard Mcgee".
Tell me you've been fired for stealing but "probably" wouldn't do it again.
Made up half of your resume then look confused when I ask you about certain jobs.
Think I won't call your references, or think you can have a friend pretend to be a former boss. I will call and find out who your boss was.

Spend the interview talking about your kids and how they are more important than the job (that, btw, you don't have).

Show up smelling of smoke (pot or cigarettes).

Wear jangly jewelry.

Totter in on stilletos (unless you're a model, then learn to walk in them).

Think you can lie about your education and not be found out.

Come to the interview drunk or high.

Notice his NECK or FACE is not tattooed. I don't care about arms, ankles, cankles, tramp stamps, genitals, or any area that could be covered all year round. No one is wearing turtlenecks in SoCal.

I always felt like they never called my references because I've used ppl I knew long ago that probably changed their numbers already..ive put down a few ppl I've never called in my life but know them from long ago...so hr really does call ppl,s references?

btw I got hired at all the jobs I've applied to in the past...even got hired at one where I didn't really cared and I messes up on almost all the interview questions..

That's not the point. It doesn't matter where the tattoo is, it doesn't make them a bad person. They could be the most amazing, genuine person who is completely qualified for the job, but you judge them on their choice of tattoo location.

I wish they didn't. There is so much more. A guy once brought his pet skunk to an interview and claimed it was a service animal. Thankfully it has been de-scented. He did not have papers to prove it was a service animal, of course.
