If one more day of school is missed than my kids will have the school year extended and it has nothing to do with weather!

This year there has been a ton of problems at the high school. They can miss 7 days....so far they are at 6...4 of those have been from bomb threats and the other two were because of a power outage.

The bomb threats are what the problem is...students are phoning in that there is a bomb and legally they have to take it seriously. The Swat team has to come out.

They were warned the 3rd time there was a bomb threat that there would be extended schedule...the next day there was another one. The principal of course is pissed. He said that if there is one more day they school year will be extended and they will have to make up ALL of the days.

We were going to go on vacation pretty soon after school ended and now I just hope it doesnt happen. It just sucks that because a few bad kids they are going to extend it for everyone. They have a large reward for anyone with information but so far no one has been able to tell who is calling in the threats.

Have you been to school board meeting to discuss possible other solutions?

Why does it take an entire day to clear the school? My school had several bomb threats. The authorities showed up, cleared the building, we went back to school.

IDK i think it would be just as bad to take away spring break  as just as many people have plans for that.

They could have the kids stay over an hour every day to make up the work that was missed.

Do the students know about the reward? Offer it to them. Someone will talk eventually.
