Is the ephinay of the classic "tell them not to touch a hot burner, and they will burn a finger" personality? My daughter has actually done that, she has touched a hot burner and burnt her finger, after I told her not to touch it. Or she ws in the bath really enjoying her self, but because I told her to stay in the bath until I was done putting her laundry away, she wanted to get out. It's like she wants to do the opposite of what I tell her to do. It drives me insane.

I was sooooo lucky. I dod NOT have that child. Quite the opposite. She got into some understandable mischief, but was generally sensible and still is as an adult. I was extremely grateful, even at the time.

My kids have always listened to any adult they know--DH, me, grandparents, aunts/uncles etc. when we have told them that something was not to be touched or could hurt them etc.

There has to be a positive to this sort of personality, later in life. Lol
