Very disturbing story found in my dd's school

Yesterday my dd was conducting interviews for her journalism class in the library. When she got there she put her paperwork down on a table and when she was all finished she picked up all of her papers and went back to class. She went thru all her notes and she discovered she grabbed a piece of loose leaf that was not hers. She started to read it to see what it was and it was very disturbing.   It was written almost like a diary entry and included some serious disturbing things. including the writer watching a family and knowing their routines. and sneaking into the house with the intention of raping the two small children he describes it in gory detail  it just got worse from there.  there was no name on the paper and she has no idea who it belonged to.  But what do you do when you find something like that?

*Edited to add she's in highschool

I would have her take it to campus security

I'd take her to the police station with it. Better to be safe.

Turn it into the Dean's office or something.

You turn it in to the principal or resource officer, or Guidance Department.

Duh.

If they have video of the library... she can tell them when she picked it up and they can view her and go backwards from there.

Tell her to go back to the Library and see if she can find the Librarian and see if she remembers who was sitting at that table before your DD came in there. Then take this to the Principal
