Tips for losing 50 lb in 5 months?

I am still pregnant but as soon as I deliver and the doctor clears me to be ok for excercise I am determined to lose weight.

I want to get back to 135 lb

Right now I weigh 185, by the time I deliver (in 4 weeks) I'm hoping not to have gained much more.

I really want to lose 50 lb in 5-6 months what suggestions can you give me ?

I lost 87 lb four years ago but I need some help to motivate me and some more ideas

Edit: I plan on breastfeeding again also which seemed to help me lose with my last baby. With him I lost 63 lb in about 6 months. In 2009 I lost 87 in about 6 1/2 months.

I hate the way I look and feel and depression hasn't helped much I tend to eat when I'm sad.

Thanks for all the helpful answers. I'm going to look into the paleo diet

High protein, low carbs, walking, and lots of water. And of course limit sugary stuff.

I'd love some ideas too! I just started using myfitnesspal to count calories, and it's pretty easy to use.

Are you eating healthy now? That really counts. I ate crap when I was pregnant and gained 50lbs and I swore it was all water weight that would go away a week later. Nope lol so I changed my eating habits completely. I started eating fruits , veggies and smoothies. And I juiced too. Exercise is great but it won't help you lose weight if you're taking in too many calories. I did weight watchers and that was great because it helped me regulate what I ate. I thought I was eating better but my portion sizes were terrible. I also did work outs that I found on YouTube. There are so many different ones for all levels of fitness. Good luck and congrats on the baby!

Sigh.

You're doing it wrong. That's not a realistic goal.

Breastfeed. I have lost all but five pounds of my pregnancy weight in three months. I started at 35# up. I haven't changed anything. I eat healthy and try to be as active as you can in the winter. But I wouldn't put a time frame on it and stress yourself out. It took almost ten months to put on so I'd count on about a year to come off at least ten months. I try to only weigh myself once a week though. I care more about how my clothes fit. Slow and steady is best. Just make healthy choices.

Don't eat crap.

Exercise every day, a combination of cardio and weight training, at least 45 minutes of each every day, plus warm up and cool-down stretching.
