What age? What is the law where you live?

All my kids are still in 5pt harness. My oldest is 4 1/2, 37 lbs. so she's not even legal and my mother in law won't stop pushing putting her in just a seat belt with the high back booster.

My boys (4 & 5 1/2) are still both in 5 pt harness.  I plan to keep them in them until they grow out of them.

We did get a booster for my hubby's car--simply as a back-up.  Both boys can use it (legally) but I don't feel comfortable with using it full-time yet.

At 4 1/2 and 35lbs. He topped out the harness height but not the weight. He has a very very long torso.

My 5 year old is still in a 5pt harness, as are the rest of my kids.

They were both between 7 & 8 years old when we put them in boosters.

I admit I'm what you call a "carseat nazi", but I'm going to answer anyway. My oldest moved to a booster when she outgrew her harness; she was about 6 1/2. My next DD was 7yrs 5 mo when she moved to a hbb. My middle child is currently 6 yrs 5 mo and in a 5pt.
