Baby died of SIDS, would you buy the baby gear?

So I'm in the market for baby gear and a woman in my town lost her son at 5 days old to SIDS. She wants to get rid of all his belongings and the prices are pretty good.

But I'm torn about buying them. I'm somewhat superstitious but the baby didn't even get to use most of the items.

I'm also worried that since its so soon after his passing that maybe mom isn't coping really well and might regret the decision to get rid of his stuff so soon.

WWYD?

I don't know how I would feel about that. What kinds of items are they?

I don't know her personally, but I do know of her from it being a small town.

She may be keeping the items that he used in his early days. I would probably take the deal.

I couldn't, not a moment of hesitation to decide if I could or would.

I would ask her first IF she was sure she was ready to get rid of the stuff and if she is then buy it.

Everything you could possibly need for a baby. Mostly I was searching for a play pen, bassinet and swing. She even offered for me to come look through his clothing.

I wouldn't buy it. She may regret it later and wonder why she got rid of her sons clothes. Maybe just get a couple of items from her, not a lot.
