I want a pet duck

I have been wanting one for quite some time now. Does anyone on here have a pet duck? If so are they high maintenance or easy to care for? Did you have to hatch your own or did you just buy the baby duck? I plan on hatching my own if/when I get one. I have never had any issues with incubating any creatures I have ever incubated so I know that part would be pretty easy for me.

They shit everywhere. Everywhere. And make a huge mess of water. I've raised them for eggs/meat.

A friend of my dad's bought some for his daughter, I think 3 or 4 survived from ducklings. They shit EVERYWHERE all over their yard. It was so gross. They had a big fish pond, it was so beautiful, and they pretty much ruined it. Clogged the pumped, crap and feathers everywhere.

I used to think they were SO CUTE, but now I just think they are yucky!

Lol. My god. I had chickens at one point but kept them in a cage.. thing.. So the shit was contained.

My pet duck Walter was an asshole!!! I don't really remember if he was a good pet or not. Our dog or another dog, not sure, killed him. :(

I love ducks. But they are messy, and smell awful. Also you have to be picky about what breed you get.

See I always see people letting the ducks run around in their house and all of that so I always just assumed ducks must not be that messy.. I see I was wrong.

I have two Rouen ducks they are contained with there own little pond. They can be a mess but just like any animal you clean up and they don't smell . I have had them since the were ducklings
