I guess I'm a crappy mom then.  My two year old still drinks out of a sippy cup!

My daughter still has one... She can drink out of a straw but I'd like to keep the carpet clean and avoid spills she is 18 months... I buy those toss away cups and just reuse them.

My son just turned 2 in December and we are just starting to work on real cups. I don't think 15 months is too old! My 4 year old nephew though, uses them all the time! I don't think I have ever seen the kid drink out of a real cup. I definitely think 4 years old is too old though.

After 2.

However, I do think that well before that a child should be drinking fro a cup at meal times.

If she'd like to come to my house and clean up what my 2 year 4 month old son spills if I don't give him a sippy or straw cup then I will gladly give him an open container.  My son knows how to drink from an open cup and does at dinner when he has water but is no where near ready to be set loose with an open container--and since he is still at the "I must have liquid with me 90% of the time" guess what, he gets a sippy.

You're never too old for a sippy cup. They make some cute ones for adults lol. :)

My 5 yo still uses one. He can drink from a cup just fine. We use the sippy to minimize spills on carpets and what not.

I'd say two but I really could care less. I've seen 2 year olds with bottles lol
