Teacher correcting your spelling in a note.

Posted by   + Show Post

A friend of mine just put on FB that her sons teacher corrects her spelling and grammar in notes she sends, with a red pen, and sends them back in her sons backpack.
Would this make you mad?
She posted about it because she recieved a note from the teacher regarding a "ripe" in her sons coat.  And she is considering correcting it and sending it back lol.
Thoughts?

I'd get a red pen to! and deduct points... with a grade at the top.

I'm a huge grammar nazi so I would have done the same as the teacher and corrected any mistakes BUT I'd have done it in my head. Sending it back to the parent was rude. I would absolutely correct her note and send it back.

I would correct it, also, since the teacher feels she should be allowed to do it herself. That's just rude and obnoxious of that teacher to do that.

I wouldn't, that would be a very childish response.  I could care less if she corrected my notes because it probably is just to help me so I can help my kid with their homework.

This is my kids teacher I don't want the teacher to have something against me that might affect my kid.

I'd tell my friend that if her dumb ass would learn to spell, she wouldn't have to deal with the teacher at all.
