Come home from a 12 hour shift at the hospital and turn on my phone. It's a text from my ex saying that when he picked up our eight year old after school for the weekend yesterday afternoon his teacher came out to make sure everything was okay.

Apparently our DS is starting the year off right. He told his teacher that I am dying of a disease and he has to take care of me. Wonderful of him right? He told her on account of his responsibilities at home he might not be able to do any homework. His teacher came out to ask his father how I am doing.

I'm doing well considering I don't have a disease... This is me finding out for the first time. Imagine my shock...

I'm so exhausted I don't know whether to laugh or cry...

So I cracked open a bottle of wine and here I am on my couch.

Who wants to share a glass?!

Sounds about as lovely as my day.

At least he has a good imagination and plans to care for you.

Lol. Creative kid.
I had a friend in high school convince her parents that the school stop doing report cards to save paper.

Oh My God.

Seriously.

That's so creative, I don't know whether he deserves a high five or punishment?

That was an impressive excuse. So much better than " the dog are my homework"!

I would be pissed.

Lmao! I'm no angel myself. I forged a few report cards back in my day.

Or if I had a bad one, I would leave it on the counter, go to bed early so my parents couldn't yell at me!
