Just a few minutes ago.. there was a mother refering to her child.. as a bitch!

I want to know..

How many of you think it is "OK" to call your children derogatory names?

Definition posted so we are using this term appropriately!

**Bitch, literally meaning a female dog, is a common slang term in the English language, especially used as a denigrating term applied to a person, commonly a woman. It often refers to someone who is belligerent, unreasonable, malicious, rudely intrusive, and/or aggressive.

Its original use as a vulgarism, documented to the fourteenth century, suggested high sexual desire in a woman, comparable to a dog in heat. The range of meanings has expanded in modern usage. In a feminist context, it can indicate a strong or assertive woman, one who might make men feel threatened. When applied to a man, bitch is a derogatory term for a subordinate.**

Mine get called brat, turkey, nugget (used to be turd nugget until they started repeating it..lol)....all in fun, usually when they sit on my lap, fart, and run.

But no, I'd never call them anything like that.

If they're older (teens) and you're playing around, I don't see the issue. But that's about the only time.

Never... mine are "monkey face", "whackadoos", or their actual nicknames....It honestly baffles my mind that a parent would ever use any foul language when referring to their children.

How is it ever "just playing around" to insult and say mean spirited things?

Your sence of fun.. is warped!

I guess it isn't fun if you're trying to play with a sensitive Sally. My mom picked around with me all the time, I knew she was joking and laughed about it.  I did things to pick around with her too. They weren't mean spirited at all
