She's buying me a tablet and says I can choose from a galaxy note tablet or a surface.

Any experience with those two?

Your "mommy"? I cringe when grown adults call their parents "mommy" or "daddy". It immediately makes me suspect dependency and immaturity. ugh.

I had the surface, I returned it less then a month later and got the galaxy note. Which I LOVE.

I'd read reviews for all tablets in that price range.  The Note is more like a large phone so if you want a smaller tablet, you couldn't go wrong with that one.  I think it depends on what you primarily want to use the device for.
