Why do you think breastfeeding past the age of one is creepy?

I do not find it creepy as it is still healthy and very nutritional for them.

I think it's normal. Children shouldn't be weaned before 2 :)

Because society says breasts are for sex and most people here haven't grown up in a society where breastfeeding (even full term) is normal. Its strange to them.

The longest I bf for was 18 months and she self weaned. My dh doesn't want me bf'ing past 10 months with the baby I'm carrying. This is his first child and he has never been around bf'ing and just thinks its gross. I told him when he lactates and can bf he can have a say. I think if they are walking talking and climbing on you undoing your buttons they may be a bit too old.
